Sacrament of Baptism
Catholic Parents may request the Sacrament of Baptism for their child. Baptisms are celebrated at the Cathedral Basilica for registered and regularly participating members of our parish community on the first Sunday of each month at 9 a.m. or 11 a.m. Mass (or at another mutually convenient time). Parents are invited to complete the application below and submit it to the parish office. An appointment will then be arranged to meet the Rector to establish the date for the celebration and any necessary preparation. Please do not make arrangements for receptions or gatherings until a date for Baptism has been established with the Rector.
Baptism should be celebrated in the proper Parish of the parents of the child to be baptized. We cannot always accommodate requests for the Sacrament of Baptism from families outside our Parish.
Adults who seek the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist are invited to contact the parish office for information about the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA).
